Vtuber Ironmouse shared a YouTube video in which she stated she parted ways with VShojo, and she cited the company not paying funds to both her and the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity. In her announcement, she noted she couldn’t say too much on the advice of her lawyers. She will continue to stream independently and announced she will hold another live stream on behalf of the organization “sometime this month.”

While Ironmouse didn’t explain exactly how much VShojo owned her, the Vtuber did offer an estimate of the amount of money the Immune Deficiency Foundation charity lacked. The performer, who suffers from common variable immunodeficiency (CVID), raised the money for the organization through subathons. She mentioned that she and Connor “CDawgVA” Colquhoun raised about $4 million for the charity in the past, primarily though Tiltify. Since the past subathons involved her Twitch revenue, she said, “it required VShojo to make the donation on my behalf.” She noted her last one raised $515,000, but “a year later, VShojo has not paid the charity.”

Here is her full statement. It included her noting VShojo attempted a form of emotional harassment to get her to stay by claiming her departure would hurt friends. At the end, she also requested people support the Immune Deficiency Foundation

A number of other Vtubers, both independent and with VShojo, shared their support on social media for Ironmouse following her announcement. Among them were Henya the Genius, Kuro, Matara Kan, Shylily, Unnamed, Bao the Whale, Shoto, and CyYu. Dokibird donated $10,000 to the new IDF Tiltify campaign. Zentreya also expressed her sympathies. Michi Mochivee, Kuro, and AmaLee Monarch no longer mention VShojo in their social media bios and names.

This comes after a number of VShojo departures that included both executives and Vtubers like Zentreya and Geega. Ironmouse was a founding member of the company alongside Zentreya and was part of the organization since November 2020. Prior to that, she streamed as an independent performer starting from 2017.
